Policies

My policies are based to help me keep my own sanity, and to ensure subscription reed orders of their proper priority.
Waiting Times and Orders
When you order a reed from me, I do not send out confirmation emails. If you would like to email me to ask whether I received your reed, feel free to do so, and I will happily respond with your approximate waiting time.
I make a certain amount of reeds a month. The subscription reeds get filled first, and then everyone else is on a first come-first serve basis. If you order a professional reed and I have already filled my monthly quota, then you might be waiting for a month or a month and a half, however usual waiting times are 3-5 weeks. Feel free to write me if you wish to know my current waiting time.
Return Policies:
Customizable Reed Return Policy
I do my best to customize reeds but it is not always possible to meet the needs of everyone. If you order a customized reed, and you receive it and hate it, please follow these steps:
1. Do not touch it! If you know you hate it after a few notes, trying to “adjust it” will probably not fix such a strong dislike.
2. Send me an email IMMEDIATELY… and tell me it is coming back.
3. Put it in the mail within a day or two of arrival.
I will not refund your money if you have tried to adjust it, hold on to it for longer than a few days, or do not return it in a prompt manner because I can only assume that you’ve been playing it for several days.
If you receive the reed and would like it adjusted, feel free to write me telling me specifically what the problem is and what you would like adjusted, and I will be happy to adjust it for free if you mail it back to me. Postage will not be reimbursed.
Professional Reeds Return Policy
I no longer refund money for Professional Reeds unless it is cracked or leaked. If you would like the reed adjusted, please email me telling me how you would like it adjusted, and mail the reed back and I will be happy to fix it accordingly. If you feel comfortable with a reed knife, email me the problems and I can probably tell you where you need to adjust the reed accordingly. Occasionally I will receive a reed that plays completely differently from how I sent it out, and will rework it myself, but this is a rare occasion and I use my own judgment.
Student Reeds Return Policy
If your reed leaks or is cracked in the tip/heart, I will replace your student reed. Student reeds are not refundable, nor do I adjust them.
