Cooper knows reeds. Cooper _really _knows reeds. And he taught me more in the hours we spent yesterday than the lifetime I’ve spent on reeds already. I have a reed now! Actually, I have reeds. Both oboe and English Horn. And I like them! Very much— Cooper is a maniac with the knife. I was astounded to watch him work. He’s also a great teacher, and I see a future in education for the man.

In all the years that I have been playing the oboe, I have never played on reeds as consistent from reed to reed as Cooper’s— no matter which reed I choose out of my reed case, I know it’s going to deliver the tone quality, response, and control that I want, and that makes my job much, MUCH… easier. With Coop’s reeds, playing the oboe has turned from a stressful worrying game into a sublime musical experience!
